January Blog Hop is Here!

I'm so excited to be part of this great blog hop! This is a great way to see lots and lots of fantastic art using the new January Stamp of the Month! The hop is all Close To My Heart Consultants who are all so creative! If you have arrived here from Melissa Burch's blog you're on the right track!

I've made this note card box with about 110 stamped note cards inside. It's for a friend and fellow CTMH consultant whom I appreciate so much. I can't wait to see what she thinks of it!

Here is a cutting diagram for how to make the box. I've had many people asking me how to make it. I got the idea from a box I received from another consultant (JuliAnn Diesch, Thanks JuliAnn!) as a christmas swap gift. I altered it and added another box to make this one two sided to how notecards. I forgot to include in the instructions that the hatched areas are scrap.

Now hop on over to Michelle Bourlet's blog to continue the hop. To see a list of all the consultants click here. It's one big loop so just keep hopping to see all the great art.

Felicity Layouts

Here are a couple of layouts that I used with the January special, Felicity. The papers were just perfect for a pumpkin patch layout and a snow layout. The die cut was a great accent for a larger photo and took no time at all!

For the snow layout I used dimensional elements, sponged them with twlight ink and then covered them in prisma glitter. It really adds a lot to the page...very sparkly

Hostess Gift for Spring 2010

Here are the hostess gifts I'm featuring for the spring quarter. January is a box with lots of tools inside to help with organization and layouts. February is a mini album that says LOVE and is decorated with Topstitch paper. March is a squash book decorated with You Rock. April is a box and set of cards and envelopes decorated with Caboodle.

To book a party please email me today! You can see my calendar and email me from my website.

Altered Cans

I made up some Christmas yummies to take to a few of our neighbors and needed something to put them in. My friend and fellow CTMH consultant Barbra Otten altered some paint cans so I took her inspiration and did the same thing. Check out her blog she's got great art and lots of instruction.

I was short on time (I only had a couple of hours) so mine are a bit more simplistic than her's are but I thought they turned out nice none-the-less.

Gift card envelope and gift tags

Here is the gift I made for my son's teacher this year. The envelope is a sheet of 12x12 background and texture paper folded. It's folded a few times to get some pockets. We put a gift card on one side and a note on the other. The second box is a box with a clear top that has gift tags on the inside. All the gifts were much appreciated and the decorating was so much fun.

Cards with Box

Here's a box of 4x4 cards I made as a gift. This was the first time I'd tried making cards with transparencies and it was so much fun! You have to use Staz-On ink and remember it can be a slippery surface to work on, but the results were worth it. Four of the cards were made of acetate and the other 4 standard white cardstock. The box has a clear cover that slides one and off.
