Dotty for You Layout

I didn't get a chance to print the photos but this will feature pictures of swim championships when my son competed a few weeks ago. He loved it and was so proud of his ribbons and metals!

Envelope card

I learned this fun new card technique from my friend Michelle Nist. You take an invitation size envelope and seal it shut. On the short side cut off approximately 1.5". Take the larger piece and run it through crimper. This will make it just a bit smaller and the piece you cut off will now fit over the top creating a "box" of sorts. For the "card portion insert a decorated piece of cardstock to show your message.

Today I'm sharing a simple and fun card featuring the Lucy paper pack and A Rainbow.

Peeps Easter Card

I love the new My Peeps stamp set so I had to find a great way to use it. I used the springs embellishments to give the peep some life.

Anything is Possible Layout

I got the idea for this layout from a sketch blog. I used the Close To My Heart paper pack Florentine. The title on the page is Anything is Possible which is from the March Stamp of the Month. Get this great stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase today!

Boxes of Fun

I've been crafting a lot lately and have lots to share with everyone. I am planning to share a piece of art once a week for the next couple of months. Check back on Mondays to see what's new.

Today I've got two different card boxes I've decorated. The papers are found in the new Close To My Heart's Spring/Summer catalog. The first box features Footloose and the second Superhero. You can use the box to store fun trinkets, ribbons, cards and more.

Sail Away

I'm still loving Studio J. It's fast and easy and fun! Here's a layout using the Elemental paper pack. Notice that on the right page there one photo that fills 6 different photo wells. To do this scale up a photo approximately 150-200% in each of the photo wells. Move the photo around in each of the wells until each piece lines up. It's best to zoom in close to ensure the photos are lined up.

Believe

A fun layout showcasing the Believe paper pack. This fun bright paper is perfect for your holiday photos. I've added in a flap for additional pictures or journaling. I added in liquid applique to Santa's coat for some added texture.

Winter Wonderland

I love how this layout turned out and I can't wait to add some great winter photos to it. It uses the Wonderland paper pack. The title is cut out using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge from Close to my Heart.

Mischief

This paper is designed as a Halloween paper but here I've used it for my son's school album. I also added in some "bonus material" hidden behind the main photo with a pull out. A great way to add extra photos in when you don't have the room on the main portion of the page.

The last page is a close up showing the distressing I've added to the layout. I mixed Cocoa re-inker and Pearl paint and then using a stipple brush painted it on the pieces and main base page. It adds a lot of shine. I also painted the banners in the upper right corner and the tag in the lower right corner.

Typeset and Cricut

Here's a card that uses both the Typeset paper pack and the new Cricut Art Philosophy. I cut EVERYTHING so now that there are so many images that coordinate with our stamps I don't have to cut by hand! I'm loving my Cricut!

Elemental

I love the new Elemental paper pack. Small background patterns in 6 different colors! They work well together or individually and really let the stamped images shine in art work. The stamp set is Zoology.

Celebrate

Here's a fun card showing how you can emboss on Kraft paper and get a big wow. I like how white embossing stands out.

Wonderland Mini Album

Using the Wonderland B & T, cut the following pieces:

• 5.75" x 2"
• (3) 5.75" x 1.5"
• (2) 5.75" x .75"
• (2) 5.75" x 1.25"
• (2) 2.75" x 2.75"
• (2) 4" x 5.25"
• 6" x .5" (can use border)
• 6" x 1"
• 4" x 4"

From the 12 x 12 Kraft cardstock, cut and score the following pieces:

• one piece 5.75" x 12" and score at 3" and 9"
• one piece 5.75" x 11.5" and score at 5.75"

To the card base, attach the two kraft pieces on the inside of the card. The tri-fold goes on the right and opens top/bottom. The half fold goes on the left and opens to the left.

Assemble as follows:

Here's a layout I put together using the Typeset paper pack in the new Autumn/Winter Close To My Heart catalog. With each new catalog I participate in a swap with 5 other very talented artists. This is the layout I made for my portion of the swap. I will be sharing the other creations here throughout the coming months.

Miracle Layout

I used the Miracle paper pack to make this fun Outdoor Adventure layout. The colors in this kit are so versital. You can add a variety different accent colors to really change the look of the paper. Try adding in pink for a fun spring flower layout.
