Plentiful Patterns

Plaid, Paisley, Gingham, Houndstooth, Toile

Today's 365 challenge is to pick any of the above three patterns and create a card. I often find mixing many patterns challenging because it can be overwhelmingly busy so I was a bit unsure of how today's challenge might go. In the end I found it lots of fun and I'm thrilled with how my card came out.

I used Originals card making book from Close To My Heart for the card design. Nearly all my cards are made using either Original or Wishes because they make it so much faster, simplier, easier! In this particular case I found this pattern in the birthday section and love it so much that I decided to make it a birthday card too. I mixed multiple paper packs and used a variety of colors.

I ended up using all but the Toile pattern which I was impressed with. Not I just a person with an upcoming birthday to send it to!

  1. what a nice fun card! wow... didnt imagine the collages can create a fun piece, but you created it. cool..

  2. Great card Kim - love the long card. I need to try making one of them. Awesome job on using all but one pattern.

  3. Lovely collage in incorporate all those papers in such a playful way!
